On this instance we were called out immediately after the fire was extinguished to help by keeping the natural elements out and another main concern was protecting the remainder of the home from theft. The very last thing needed after the traumatic event of fire is to be violated further by someone entering your home and taking your remaining belongings. Windows and doors were boarded up first, then, after the charred debris on the roof was removed, the openings on the roof were protected by boarding them up.
