Toilet overflowed and damaged this family's kitchen
Here is a common scenario that our team frequently runs across… This flooded kitchen got soaked with sewage water from a toilet back up and overflow from the upstairs bathroom. As you can imagine, the smell was rotten right from the start. Because of the high bacteria levels in the sewage water, IICRC protocol requires demolition of all the wet materials. The after photo shows post cleaning when our drying equipment was running until the rebuild could begin... Despite the big interruption of going several weeks without use of their kitchen, the homeowner was willing to look on the bright side and happy to get a whole new kitchen in the end.
