Is the source of your water damage clean or dirty? Depending on that answer, the protocol for cleanup will vary
Our specialty hardwood floor drying equipment is used on a daily basis, but ONLY when the water rupture or leak is from a clean water source such as from a plumbing pipe in the wall, AND only if we are called out immediately after to get the cleanup started. Other times clean water is not what we come across. The water could be from a sewage back-up or perhaps while clean initially, too much time has passed allowing bacteria to multiply in which case the recommended way to proceed would be removal of affected wall and flooring materials. Here was the latter situation, so the after picture shows flood cuts and floor removal. After the remaining dry-out and disinfecting of the structure, new materials can replace the old. As general contractors, we are able to help out for the whole process, beginning to end. Our customers love the ease of having just one company to communicate and schedule vs multiple.
